SUMMARY:Jon Bennett: This Will Only Ever Happen Once
DESCRIPTION:A hilarious and moving show by world-renowned Aussie comedian Jon Bennett (Fire in the Meth Lab\, Pretending Things are a C*ck\, AMERICAN’T) about life’s unrepeatable moments. \nA therapist once told me that my relentless drive to perform comes from the same place as my obsession with wildlife: “Because both are rare\, unpredictable\, and fleeting.” That insight inspired this show. \nTHIS is a live storytelling experience that explores the powerful connection between the magic of live performance and the thrill of encountering wild animals. It’s about presence\, risk\, and wonder\, and the feeling that what you’re witnessing will never happen quite the same way again. \nUsing multimedia\, comedy\, and true stories from 17 years of touring through 58 countries\, I share unforgettable moments from the weirdest gigs to the most surprising animal encounters. The show draws compelling parallels between nature and theatre\, two things that ask us to pay attention\, be present\, and embrace the unpredictable. \nAudiences can expect a funny\, heartfelt\, visually rich show that leaves them with a renewed love of live performance\, a deeper respect for wildlife\, and a better understanding of why we must protect what cannot be repeated\, on stage or in the wild. \nAwards: \n7 X Just for Laughs Award nominee (Montreal Fringe\, 2011-2017) \n12 X Selection – The Moth Main Stage (NYC\, London\, Boston\, LA\, Austin) \n2 X Best Comedy Award nominee (Sydney Fringe\, 2023) \nBest Storytelling Award Winner (Sydney Fringe\, 2023) \nNational Artist of the Year Winner (St. Louis Fringe\, 2022) \nInspiration Award Winner (Minnesota Fringe\, 2022) \n2 X NY Times Best Seller (The Moth Occasional Magic\, 2019; How to Tell a Story\, 2022) \nSelected Off Broadway – Soho Theatre (New York\, 2019) \n2 X The Moth Story Slam Winner (New York\, 2014; LA\, 2019) \nBest Storyteller Award Winner (Victoria Fringe\, 2019) \nOutstanding Storytelling Award Winner (London Fringe\, 2018) \n5 X Best Comedy Award nominee (Perth Fringe\, 2012-2015\, 2018) \nBest Performer & Best Script Award Winner (Nelson Fringe\, 2018) \nBest Comedy Award Winner (Victoria Fringe\, 2017; San Diego Fringe\, 2018) \n2 X Best International Comedian nominee (New Zealand Comedy Awards\, 2017-2018) \nSelected Cruise Ship Guest Entertainer (Princess Cruises\, Norwegian Cruise Lines\, 2018\, 2019\, 2023) \nProducers Pick Award Winner (London Fringe\, 2017) \nBest Performance Winner (Victoria Fringe\, 2016) \nGolden Gibbo Award nominee (Melbourne International Comedy Festival\, 2015) \nFunniest Show Award Winner (London Fringe\, 2015) \nPick of the Fringe Award Winner (Calgary Fringe\, 2015; Boulder Fringe\, 2015) \nCritics Choice Award Winner (Orlando Fringe\, 2015) \nCritics Pick of the Fringe Award Winner (San Diego Fringe\, 2014) \n2 X Selection – Just for Laughs Zoofest (Montreal\, 2013-2014) \nPick of the Fringe Award Winner (Winnipeg Fringe\, 2011) \nCritical Acclaim: \n“Armed only with self-deprecating wit and memories\, Bennett reminds us that ordinary people lead extraordinary lives. ★★★★★” – The Sunday Mail (AUS) \n“Bennett has an uncanny and unnerving ability to make you crease up with laughter before dropping a perfectly timed bombshell.” ★★★★ – Time Out (UK) \n“Bennett is the patron saint of storytelling. ★★★★★” – Broadway Baby (UK) \n“Bennett is a joy to watch. SUMMARY:We Will Rise
DESCRIPTION:WE WILL RISE is a powerful docu-theater work written by JP Rapozo\, one of Toni Curtsinger’s best friends from college. It traces the extraordinary true story of Toni — a woman who survived the 2012 Aurora\, Colorado Batman movie-theater mass shooting after being shot in the face while nine months pregnant. Through interviews\, testimony\, and theatrical storytelling\, the play explores what happens after the headlines fade: the lingering fear\, the long nights\, the trial\, the shifting relationships\, and the everyday courage it takes to keep showing up for life. Toni’s journey is deeply intertwined with the memory of her dear friend Alex Sullivan\, who was celebrating his birthday that night and never made it home. His life\, humor\, and heart echo throughout the piece — grounding the story in love\, loss\, and the people whose absence continues to shape the survivors’ lives. Over the course of a decade\, Toni rebuilds her sense of safety\, identity\, and purpose — navigating motherhood\, trauma\, advocacy\, and the complicated ways communities grieve and heal together. WE WILL RISE refuses to center the violence itself; instead\, it lifts the voices of survivors\, honors those we lost\, and invites audiences to witness resilience in its raw\, human form. Grounded in truth\, compassion\, and hope\, this production asks: How do we live after unimaginable harm — and how do we rise\, not alone\, but together? \nBuy Tickets

SUMMARY:Spilled Dictators by Andrew Rosdail
DESCRIPTION:In an unspecified totalitarian country\, a man is interrogated because he’s not sad enough about the dictator’s death in this political satire. Playwright Andrew Rosdail wrote his original draft of the play in 2012 after the death of Kim Jong II\, when there were reports of mourners being punished for insufficient grief at his funeral. Rosdail revised the script in 2017\, a few months after the first inauguration of our current president. \nDirected by Renée Newlove. A talkback follows each performance. \nBuy Tickets

SUMMARY:Man Cave\, a One-Man Sci-Fi Climate Change Tragicomedy\, Volume II
