In this 55-minute theatrical experience, Cassandra Stafford steps into the role of Sissieretta Joyner Jones, the first Black woman to sing at Carnegie Hall. As The Black Patti, she narrates the journey of the Negro Spiritual—songs born in bondage, carried through struggle, and still alive today.
Through storytelling, sacred song, and dance by Olyvia, this show brings history to life with real emotion and audience participation. It’s not just a performance—it’s a revival of truth and tradition.
