Fragmented Mélange
February 28 @ 7:00 pm - 7:25 pm
$10
Aleño Dance Project returns for its third appearance at the Rogue Festival with Fragmented Mélange, a collection of choreography that offers a taste of the company’s different choreographic voices. Featuring choreography from Aleño dancers Jacob Gasca, Haley Gilpin, and Gael Martinez, this show explores a rich tapestry of themes, from relationships and culture to connection and identity. Each choreographer’s unique voice creates a diverse and dynamic experience that blends personal expression with universal resonance.
“Fragmented Mélange is like a charcuterie board of choreography,” says co-director Alexandra Tiscareno. “It’s an assortment of movements, emotions, and narratives designed to spark curiosity and leave you craving more.”
Each section offers a glimpse into the choreographers’ visions, drawing audiences into a world of fragmented yet interconnected stories. With bold athleticism, intricate movement, and emotive moments, this work aims to capture the complexities of Gasca, Gilpin, and Martinez’s personal stories.
This performance is a work-in-progress preview of a larger work that Aleño Dance Project is preparing for Summer 2025!
