99 Dreams

99 Dreams is a one-act play written by Kate McKnight. Concept by Sarah McKnight Serafimidis & Kate McKnight. Features performances of several rock cover songs and an original song by Sarah Serafimidis.

99 Dreams is a cover band of middle-aged musicians who have played together for decades in a small Central Valley town. While the band once opened for touring professional bands and had a devoted local following, they have been reduced to playing on the weekends at a dive bar in a strip mall, complete with pool tables and terrible acoustics. During the course of the play, each band member reveals what they have been hiding from the others, expressing frustration and resentment about playing 70s and 80s cover songs. A break-up looks to be on the horizon unless they can incorporate the music and performance passions of each band member.
