Rooted, Reaching: We Carry Each Other

Aleño Dance Project invites you into a site-specific, immersive performance at Harts Haven Used Bookstore. This 50-minute exploration will take you through a journey in and out of the bookstore as we explore themes of community, ancestry, and self-love. Honoring the parts of ourselves we have inherited, carried, and echoed.

Featuring choreography from Gael Garcia, Julia Ramos, Emiya Salazar, Ashley Serratos Tapia, and Alexandra Tiscareno, this work is rooted in connection and care. It is a love letter to what came before us, and a call to remember who we are, where we come from, and what is possible when we move forward collectively.

This marks Aleño Dance Project’s fourth invitation to perform at Rogue and our 5th year as a company! This current work will culminate in our 5-year anniversary soiree in October. Hope to see you there!
